Campaign Update

Taking the Lead By Standing Together

Aggies have always known what it’s like to lead by example, but now it’s time to show the world what our leadership can do. Through one of the boldest comprehensive campaigns in the history of public higher education, Texas A&M can position itself in a new class of global leaders.

The Lead by Example campaign focuses on three key priorities:

  • Transformational learning: Enable students to understand the world through groundbreaking research and study abroad experiences.
  • Discovery and innovation: Push boundaries to solve the most fundamental and monumental societal challenges.
  • Impact on the state, nation and world: Improve the world with forward-thinking research and service.

We have surpassed the halfway mark of our $4 billion goal. It is an amazing feat, but not surprising considering the fervor and ambition of Aggie supporters like you. View the pie chart below to learn how your support is advancing and enhancing Texas A&M students, faculty, programs and colleges.

Campaign Stats

60 percent of the funds raised toward the campaign support academics and research. Smaller portions support campus construction projects (19 percent), athletics (8 percent) and student affairs (1 percent). 12 percent of funds consist of planned gifts not yet designated or gifts in holding.

There is still much to achieve by 2020. In many ways, the next three years will offer a glimpse of what Texas A&M University can accomplish in the next 100 years. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store.
